Allen Secher received seven Emmys for television production and direction. His Emmys include a PBS special, “Choosing One’s Way” on resistance in Auschwitz, featuring Academy Award winner Ellen Burstyn. His film credits include among others roles in “Brian’s Song” and “Marcus Welby.”

He was Director of Communications for the Jewish Federation of Chicago, a television producer of religious and ecumenical programming and as an award-winning independent television documentary producer.

From 1971 to 1974, he taught the Psychology of Film at UCLA in Los Angeles and lectured throughout the United States on “The Historic Image of the Jew in Film.”
